I moved to a new site today. The people that had this perfect site moved out and I moved in. The lady with the Vintage Aristocrat Commander trailer is Christy Barbieri. She just moved in the same time I moved in. She lives in Boulder City. She has it made. A short drive and she is here.
Well I moved to another campsite. # 105. The families from hell moved in last evening. Loud mouthed parents and kids. Two families and a third just came in this morning. No consideration for others. No manners at all. Just typical white trash. A couple of photos of my new site. I love it. Though it does not have quite the privacy, it does have a great view and the fellow campers or should I say RVer’s are older and much more quiet. I notice that the bathrooms are nicer over on this side. The other side seems to be more used by campers more often. I could be wrong. I think it depends on the time of year. Right now it is just perfect […]
This morning I met Larry Olsen and his brand new Little Guy 5 wide Teardrop Trailer. A very nice fellow from Layton, UT. He drove down to give his new trailer a test. He loves it. Little Guy has done a hell of a job in producing a very nice teardrop trailer. It has all the bells and whistles without the big cost footprint. Larry has been following my website and blog and that is why he is here at Zion. He thought it was to wonderful to not go and enjoy. I walked up to him and mentioned how nice his trailer looked and he said ” your Ramsey’s Travels”. I said “That’s me” and we started talking. Here is a view from a […]
Zion National Park – This afternoon I grabbed the shuttle from the Visitor Center and took it to the end “Temple of Sinawava”. The Riverside walk along the Narrows is a great little 2 mile round trip walk. Wheelchair accessible.
Just walking around taking beautiful photos of the area. You can’t seem to take a bad photograph here. I just love this place. And judging by the crowds, everybody thinks that. This place is packed. Shots were taken in the South campground area. If you have Verizon you have damn great reception. I also have the Mifi card from Verizon which works really well. That is what I use to post on my web site and the blog. Also don’t forget to check out my web site for more great images. Ramseystravels.com.
Zion National Park. After listening to the rain all night I woke up had a mediocre cup of coffee. Baileys Coffee Creamer – Hazelnut SUCKS. I would rather it black if that has to be that way. Anyway I decided to take a hike along the Virgin River this morning. I picked up a shuttle ride at the Visitors center. We made the obligatory stops along the way to the Grotto stop. Got off and started following the herd across the river. Turned right along the river and just kept going. I figure I am going to get some cool shots. I keep going up for some reason. So after about 300 for 400 feet I keep looking up and see these little spots moving […]
As I write this today Zion is a dark, cold, rainy day. A good day to have a trailer. While I am inside my little vintage trailer, I am quite warm and cozy. I am listening to NPR radio and typing this with a nice glass of wine. What a blast to be here. The campers that are in tents on the other hand are wet, wet, wet. Watching the people walking around in their rain gear with umbrellas reminds me of the days of tent camping. I once woke up and found a mini stream under my tent. I find it absolutely unbelievable that a park that is as popular as Zion Nat. Park has campsites that are just dirt. The campground is like […]
Today I pulled into Zion National Park. I was hoping to get a campsite. I did manage to get a site. Right next to the one I really wanted. Tomorrow the couple is leaving and I will take their site. In the meantime here are some shots of what my little site looks like. It gets crowded real fast. More photos to follow in the next few days.
If you ever get to the Bryce Canyon area, you should stop and eat at Bryce Canyon Pines restaurant. Good food and really good pies. Woof, woof!! Good stuff.
Coral Pink Sand dunes, Utah. Images found while hiking around the Coral Pink Sand Dunes area. Fun place to check out. Sunrise and sunsets are pretty fantastic. If you drive north from Kanab, UT. this is what awaits you. If you like the culture of good old boys and noisy ATV’s this is for you. If you are one to enjoy photography and peacefulness you are better off in the middle of the week. And off season helps too.
