Old Town Kingman, AZ – Wine Bar.

October 23, 2013 admin 0

Old Town Kingman, AZ – Wine Bar. The other day I was in the mood to check out old town Kingman. The only cool place to hang out in Kingman, AZ. I love the old buildings and the overall good vibes that are in the old town area. So I popped over to the Beale Street Brew coffee house and had a nice afternoon latte to enjoy. After 4:00 PM the Cellar Door wine bar opens. It just happens to be next door to the coffee house. I met the owners and had a couple of glasses of wine. Tasting a couple of different reds. Both very nice. I order a dinner from across the street and they deliver it right away. Very nice benefit […]

Roasting new beans.

October 18, 2013 admin 0

Roasting new beans. It was time to roast some new beans. Don’t like running out of good coffee. I order 12 lbs this time from Sweet Maria’s in Oakland, CA. This morning I decided to try a new bean for me. Costa Rica Tarrazu Dota Provindencia. Looks great roasting. I am roasting at Tradewinds RV Park in Kingman, AZ. Elevation is about 3300 ft. Cool weather. 95 grams roasting in my popcorn popper for about 6.5 minutes for a full city plus a few seconds past second crack. I will let it rest for a few days and then let her rip. I can hardly wait. I will use the Aeropress and French press to make coffee. I am sure all will be great. Images […]

Roadrunner Cafe, Kingman, AZ.

October 18, 2013 admin 0

Roadrunner Cafe, Kingman, AZ. If you are traveling in the area, on your way to the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas or some other destination you should stop here for a good meal. Breakfast and lunch only. There are not many places for a good meal in Kingman but this is a good one. I stopped in the other day and had a skillet breakfast. One of many good choices. I must say I was a very happy camper. A nice friendly place to eat. There are many places and we know how many we have all been to that are just plain crappy and very unfriendly places. This is the opposite. Check out the Yelp page for more info.  http://www.yelp.com/biz/roadrunner-cafe-kingman

Black Bridge Brewery.

October 13, 2013 admin 0

Black Bridge Brewery in Kingman, AZ. Now there is a place to really enjoy yourself. Well to be fair there is the Beale St. Brew coffee-house just across the street and right next door to the coffee-house is a wine tasting room. So now there is another added cool place in old town Kingman, AZ. I stopped in the other day to give it a whirl and I must say I was happy and surprised. I had the pleasure of meeting Tim Schritter the owner and we had a chance to talk for a while. He is the brewmaster that creates these wonderful tasting brews. Tim knows what he is doing. I tasted but two and they were great tasting. I will be back to […]

Kingman, AZ.

October 5, 2013 admin 0

Kingman, AZ. With the Republican party holding the Government hostage I had to leave the campground. Where to go. Scratch my head and think about it. The only place I could think of at the moment was head south. I checked out Kingman, AZ and the weather was very good. I researched the area for a place to stay and found The Tradewinds RV Park in Golden Valley which is just south of Kingman about 12 miles. A nice RV park with electric, wi-fi, and all hook-ups. It has a recreation room, Laundry, showers/bath, bocce ball, horseshoes, frizzbe golf, etc. $200.00 a month. So far a good deal. The weekend brought Oktoberfest in Kingman. I thought a great event to check out. It was held […]
