Flagstaff, AZ

Flagstaff, AZ. We took a fun trip the other day back to Flagstaff. A fun town. Traffic sucks though. Be careful driving. Once you get the hang of it you will do fine. There are a lot of different restaurants, wine bars, breweries, coffee houses, bagel shops.

Route 66, in Kingman

December 7, 2016 admin 0

Driving interstae 40 heading back to Kingman from Lake Havasu City, we took the 44 exit and drove the old Route 66 Highway to Downtown Kingman, AZ. What a great drive. If you are a train enthusiast this is perfect for capturing some images of trains.  There are a couple of local roads you can take to get a closer view of the trains. There are over 100 trains a day through Kingman and this area provides some great photo ideas. There are tremendous geological rock formations on this section of the Route 66 Highway. I stopped and took these images with my LG Stylo 2v phone. Beautiful images and quality. After the driving that great section of Route 66 we stopped in […]

Chilling in Kingman Arizona, a must see kind of town.

October 28, 2016 admin 0

Chilling in Kingman Arizona.   Chilling in Kingman Arizona. Hanging out in Kingman offers some old time coolness to check out. The old town district is pretty fun. Thankfully there in a cool micro Brewery and a wine bar well worth going to. Another brewery is under construction now at House of Hops in downtown. There are some great beers and Ale in Kingman. A Bar B Que, and a great little bistro, “Sirens”, all in one block with a brick oven pizza restaurant. The old Route 66 starts here if you want to take a great drive heading east. Tons of great things to check out. One close place is the Hualapai Mountains with resort restaurant and lots of hiking and biking trails. It […]

The trip to Telluride, Colorado

September 28, 2016 admin 0

The trip to Telluride, Colorado. Mesa Verde National Park. My friend Brent pulled up last night on his Harley with camping gear and all. Brent is a coffee roaster/barista at Moab Coffee Roasters in Moab, UT. We relaxed that evening at the campsite in Mesa Verde National Park. The trip to Telluride the next day was a fun fantastic trip after I made really delicious Aeropress coffee using Guatemalan beans. We both really enjoyed Telluride, Co. because of the attitude of the people. We found the town open-minded, and liberal. Very dog oriented as well. The locals were very nice and friendly. Altitude is somewhere around 8500 feet. We ate at a little old Victorian house called The Corner House Grille. We heard the fish and […]

Making Aeropress Coffee

September 15, 2016 admin 0

Making Aeropress Coffee. If you like a great tasting cup of coffee then this is the tool to do it. When I discovered the Aeropress coffee maker I couldn’t believe it. I love French Press, Moka Pot as well, but the Aeropress tops them all. Rich and full of flavors that your taste buds will love. I made this to help you get started. It is pretty much an experiment and a fun one at that to find that sweet spot that your tastes prefer.

Balboa Island, CA.

August 29, 2016 admin 0

Balboa Island, CA. One of my trips to So. Cal. A great place to visit once in a while. There are many places to see and visit in the beach towns of Orange County. One fun area to see is Balboa Island. Best time to go is middle of the week. Traffic can get downright horrible to say the least. If you have time walk around the island. It doesn’t take to long and you will enjoy the visuals.

Our trip to Jerome

August 25, 2016 admin 0

Our trip to Jerome. Yesterday Linda and I took a trip to Jerome Arizona. What a blast that old mining town is. Lots of good restaurants, bars, wine bars, and cool artists and musicians, in Jerome. In it’s heyday it was 15000 people living and working in the town. Now it has lots of open minded, free thinking folks to live and work here in this wonderful town. This is a great place to stay and play in the area. Tons of stuff in the area. We found the main area of Jerome to give us a similar feel as Prescott’s Whisky Row area.

Places to visit in Utah but don’t live there.

August 19, 2016 admin 3

Places to visit in Utah but don’t live there. Utah has some great places to check out. Like this little town for example. This was a cool little town at the bottom of Brian Head mountain. Good to enjoy but you don’t want to live there unless you are as insane as these people. Freaks created by religion and politics. Wow. Just so you know what you are meeting when you go to these little places. Locals won’t tell you this but they really do hate you tourists. But they love your money. Ha, ha, ha. Great geology though.

10 Tips to make you a better Chromebook user

August 17, 2016 admin 0

10 Tips to make you a better Chromebook user. If you are new to Chromebook or are a long time user there are always tips to help you. I am a fairly new user myself and love the Chromebook. I also use a MacBook Pro but find it to be boring as hell anymore. My Chromebook is fast and easy to get a handle on. It is a blast to use, and any tips I can learn along the way is always a good thing. I am a heavy user of Photoshop and Lightroom and have found alternative online software to solve that problem.

Coffee On The Faroe Islands At Brell Café

July 20, 2016 admin 0

Coffee On The Faroe Islands At Brell Café. I was just perusing the web sites when I cam across this cool read. I thought you all might like a good article. It is about coffee which is always good to talk about. “61.8926° N, 6.9118° W. The far reaches of the North Atlantic. Situated between Iceland and Norway, near the northern Scottish isles, is a set of islands steeped in beauty, ruggedness, a fearless nature, and tradition. With a population of just 50,000 and their geographic isolation, trends in the Faroe Islands tend to follow mainland Europe in a predictably slow fashion. Coffee is no exception.” Check it out.
